Angelica Clyman is a painter and ceramist who lives and works in her native South Florida. Her art has been described as “at once personal, enigmatic, ancient, and spiritual”, joining scenes of ordinary life with a sense of mystical adventure. Angel’s work is driven by her interest in religion, mythology, psychology, and the unique power of images, as she draws inspiration from sources that vary from the Mannerists to popular cartoons. Angel is a graduate of New World School of the Arts (BFA) and Florida International University (MFA), currently is an artist-in-residence at the Art Center / South Florida, and teaches at Broward College.
